Kamal Arts is a visual arts studio and fine-arts gallery located within a community cultural hub, Wisma Geylang Serai.

Kamal Arts Studio is a visual arts practice and teaching facility for batik-painting, caricatures and other art mediums. We conduct art enrichment programs for schools and facilitate corporate team building activities and community art events.

Kamal Arts Gallery is an exhibition venue for showcasing works of art. Look out for our open-calls for group exhibitions. The venue is also available for rental.

A brief biography

Batik artist Kamal Dollah


Kamal Dollah
 (b.1967) is a Singaporean artist who specialises in batik painting and caricature drawings. Kamal graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nafa) in 1993. He was active in the local art scene and returned to Nafa in 2007 for sabbatical to attain his MA Contemporary Practice from the University of Huddersfield (UK), with his thesis ‘Innovating Tradition – Batik Painting in Contemporary Art Practice’. Kamal was awarded the Rotary Club of Singapore’s Artisan of the year award 2019Record holder of several artistic feats in the Singapore Book of Records. Distinct member of the International Society of Caricature Artist and speaker at International Society for Education through Arts (UNESCO). He trains and provides employment to artists in the art-education and entertainment industry.
